
ONAKOYA ADEGBEMI BABATUNDE

He is a Visiting Professor (Business and Applied Economics) at Crescent University Abeokuta and an Associate Professor (Macro economics) at Babcock University Ilishan-Remo both in Ogun State Nigeria. A Doctor of Philosophy in Business and Applied Economics from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Nigeria. Professor Onakoya is a Master of Business Administration (Marketing management) from Olabisi Onabanjo University and the M.Sc. Degree (Economics) of the Lagos State University in the distinction grade. He obtained his first degree in Economics in 1979 (Second Class Upper Division) from Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly University of Ife).
He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (1983) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is also a member of the Nigerian Economics Society. An internationally certified expert in quality systems management and business transformation, his other professional affiliation includes the Chartered Marketing Institute of Nigeria.
He was a Senior Accounting Fellow at Covenant University Ota (2004 -2006), Associate Lecturer / Part-time Lecturer at Olabisi Onabanjo University (Formerly Ogun State) University. He had served on the Governing Council, Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu ode and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta. He served on the Transition Committee, Governing Council, Tai Solarin University of Education. Ijebu Ode. As at April 24, his 61 academic publications have been viewed 55,902 and downloaded 4,025 times in 175 countries & territories (http://babcockuni.academia.edu/adegbemionakoya). He has also delivered several professional papers in some countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
Prior to his full time appointment in the academia, Mr. Onakoya was the Secretary to the government of Ogun State, Nigeria. He has acquired varied experience from the major sectors of the economy including academia, banking, manufacturing, oil & gas services, telecommunications and government:

At NCR, he had several short term assignments in Ghana, Kenya and Zimbabwe. He has attended several training programmes in Nigeria, United States of America, Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates. He has working knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, and Power Point), Sun Accounting System, Oracle – Financial Management and E-views –Statistical package.
He is currently a member of the Dispute Resolution Panel of the Nigerian Copyright Commission. He is also a member, Inter-governmental relations committee of ICAN and has previously served the Institute in several capacities.
He has been honoured as

- The Great Performance Award – NCR Corporation Dayton Ohio USA in1993.
- Otunba Onakoya is the Boyejo of his homestead, Ijebu Ife and
- Otunba Bajulaye of Ilodo.
