The advantage of ABE’s marketing stream is that you gain a specialism combined with general business management expertise. Being able to offer marketing skills, along with a wide-ranging strategic understanding of business management, will provide holders of our qualifications with an enviable skill set which will prove invaluable as they progress to senior management. It also has the potential to give a wider range of career options than a pure marketing qualification.

In addition, our full Diplomas all carry 120 academic credits, which means they match with the stages of a Bachelors degree and offer clear academic progression.

ABE Level 4 Diploma in Business Management and Marketing
(Equivalent to YEAR 1 OF A 3 YEAR Degree Course in UK)
Duration: One Academic Session
Provides a thorough grounding in the core principles of marketing and business management. The first year of a Bachelors degree is at the same level.
This qualification provides a thorough grounding in the core principles of marketing and business management. You will also gain an understanding of the conditions which shape and form business strategy. Along-side this you will learn the skills you need to develop and market yourself to enhance your lifelong career prospects.
This qualification is at the same level of difficulty as year one of a Bachelors degree.
Qualification Objective
The objectives of the ABE Level 4 Diploma in Business Management and Marketing are as follows:
- To equip learners with business skills, knowledge and the understanding necessary to achieve high
performance in the global business environment - To provide education and training for a range of careers in business, including management, human
resources and marketing - To provide insight and understanding into international business operations and the opportunities and
challenges presented by a globalised marketplace - To equip learners with knowledge and understanding of culturally diverse organisations, cross-cultural
issues, diversity and values - To provide opportunities for learners to enter or progress in employment in business, or progress to higher
education qualifications - To provide opportunities for learners to develop the skills, techniques and personal attributes essential for
successful working lives - To provide opportunities for those learners with a global outlook to aspire to international career pathways
- To provide opportunities for learners to achieve a nationally-recognised professional qualification
- To offer learners the chance of career progression in their chosen field
- To allow flexibility of study and to meet local or specialist needs
Admission Requirement
- Candidate must possess Credit passes in at least five subjects, including English Language, Mathematics
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) using the stipulated learning outcomes and assessment criteria from the qualification or unit
Qualification Structure
The ABE Level 4 Diploma in Business Management consists of four core mandatory, three mandatory, and one specialist mandatory units. There are no optional units in this qualification. To be awarded the ABE Level 4 Diploma in Business Management and Marketing learners must achieve a minimum of a Pass in all units.

It is at the same level of difficulty as the second year of a Bachelors degree.

- Candidate with NCE, OND or their equivalents
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) using the stipulated learning outcomes and assessment criteria from the qualification or unit.

Learners must complete four core mandatory units and two of the three optional units to achieve ABE Level 5 Diploma in Business Management and Marketing. In order to be awarded the qualification leaners must achieve a minimum of a Pass in all units

This qualification aims to help you develop a critical strategic understanding of contemporary management issues and develop your skill set as a senior marketing professional. You will develop the strategic and managerial skill set to excel in a leadership role and be able to offer strong expertise in the field of marketing. It is at the same level of difficulty as the final year of a Bachelors degree.

Learners must complete four core mandatory units and two of the three optional units to achieve ABE Level 6 Diploma in Business Management and Marketing. In order to be awarded the qualification leaners must achieve a minimum of a Pass in all units.
